About Us
Agere is a South African mining project management company focusing on exploration and metallurgical projects, both locally and internationally. Our highly qualified and experienced team provides a bouquet of technical skills and associate expertise in the fields of geology, mining and metallurgy.
Agere attributes its success to broad industry expertise and its vast skills network with associate companies such as Minxcon. Projects are taken from inception through engineering, procurement, construction and management (EPCM) stages.
Current local projects include long hole drilling projects for gold and uranium in the West Rand Goldfields, short hole drilling in the Witbank coal fields and greenfields gold exploration projects in the Pilgrim´s Rest area.
Key international projects include the evaluation of exploration concessions in the DRC and Mozambique for copper and coal deposits respectively.
Both short and long term projects, ranging from five to 11 years, are well within the scope of Agere.
The team members are recognized by various regulatory bodies in South Africa which are also internationally accepted, namely:
